Ignoring Auctions
Auction Chief makes you a more efficient buyer by allowing you to ignore auctions that you aren't interested in. Auction Chief let's you concentrate on just the auctions that were posted since that last time you looked.
For example, let's say you search for Beatles CDs every day on eBay. On the first day you find around 700 auctions for Beatles CDs. Every day after that you'll have to look through another 700 auctions for Beatles CDs even through you've already seen most of the auctions on the previous day and decided that they weren't interesting.
Now let's search for Beatles CDs using Auction Chief. On the first day, you'll still have around 700 auctions to look through. For the few that look interesting, you click on the auction's status button and change them to Watched. For the rest, you click on the New To Ignored button to make all the rest Ignored. On the next day, Auction Chief will show you only new auctions, in the case of our Beatles example, say around 150 auctions, plus the auctions you decided to Watch on the previous day. This saves you having to look at around 550 auctions that you've decided that you don't care about.
Search Categories
Search Categories in Auction Chief are eBay searches that you can group together and name. For example, you can make a Search Category called Disney Books that searches the eBay Browse Category Books, Movies, Music -> Books -> Children for "Disney" and searches Collectibles -> Disneyana for "Book". In the case of our Beatles example, you could make a Search Category called Beatles CDs that searches all of eBay for "Beatles CD".
