Sniping

Auction Chief can bid on an auction at the last second. This is called sniping. If you want to use the sniping feature, you must first set up the User Information and the Begin snipe mode and snipe time on the Options Screen.

To set up a snipe, click on the bid price of an auction on the Main Screen. The snipe set up screen looks like this.

If this is a dutch auction, you may set the quanity. Select the price that you would like Auction Chief to bid for you and click on Enable This Snipe.

For Auction Chief's snipping feature to work properly you must be running Auction Chief and be connected to the Internet.

When there's Begin snipe mode when there's x minutes left in an auction, Auction Chief goes into snipe mode and begins updating the auction around once a minute.

When there's Snipe an auction when there's x seconds left in an auction, Auction Chief will send a bid on your behalf to eBay.

If the item's bid price ever exceeds your snipe price, your snipe will be canceled.

To cancel a snipe, click on the auction's bid price and click on Cancel This Snipe.
