Version 2.29 is released. Sniping now works with the new eBay individual auction format. There's a new auction menu option, "Test Snipes." Test Snipes pretends that there is one minute left in all of your sniped auctions. Auction Chief runs though its snipe logic and does everything it normally does during a snipe except bid on your behalf. If no errors are found during the test, you can be reasonably sure that Auction Chief will work correctly when it snipes for real. Test Snipes can't be used when a real snipe is in progress and during the one minute test Auction Chief is prevented beginning a real snipe. Several problems with Show Finished Watched Auctions reading the new eBay individual auction format were fixed. |

I made changes to the parser so that Auction Chief can read the new individual item auction pages. I won't know for sure that they work until eBay switches over to them. Html tags in auction titles are now properly handled. I removed the underline for clickable text in order to make the search results less cluttered. eBay has been experimenting with java script based search results. When eBay switches to using them on a regular basis, I'll make Auction Chief read them. |
| 12/31/2002 |
Version 2.25 is released. Fixes a problem with reading auctions that end in the next year. |
| 12/18/2002 |

This fixes problems with reading some auction searches and with manually adding watched auctions. A new menu option Auctions - Undo New To Ignored has been added. | 11/14/2002 |
Version 2.22 is released. You can now print the auctions that Auction Chief displays by selecting the menu option Auctions - Print. Using a new option setting, you can select an International eBay site as your default eBay. This changes your home eBay page. Individual auctions are viewed through this site as well. Auction Chief needs searches to return the end dates of auctions to function correctly. Auction Chief converts Newly Listed Items First searches into ending searches. Several places where this conversion wasn't occurring were fixed. You can now sort finished watched auctions by clicking on column headings. A bug where deleting some auction groups from Auction Chief would cause the program to crash was fixed. |

| 9/12/2002 |
Version 2.19 is released. A problem with reading the bid url when sniping is fixed. |
| 8/27/2002 |
Version 2.18 is released. Auction Chief was unable to read the ending time for some category search auctions. This has been fixed. When you snipe an international auction using Auction Chief, Auction Chief uses www.ebay.com to place the bid. Some international eBay sites use a comma instead of a decimal point. www.ebay.com doesn't properly interpret this comma, so Auction Chief now converts comma decimal points to English decimal points when you place a snipe. |
| 7/20/2002 |
Version 2.17 is released. Auction Chief now correctly displays auction searches from eBay Austria, eBay Belgium, eBay France, eBay Germany, eBay Ireland, eBay Italy, eBay Netherlands, eBay Singapore, eBay Spain and, eBay Switzerland. Auction Chief remembers the screen's size and position when you change it. When Auction Chief displays a message that it couldn't read an eBay page, it does so with a non-blocking window. This way snipes and the automatic update can continue. A crash with auction titles that contained the characters "& #" was fixed. |
| 7/6/2002 |
Version 2.16 is released. Auction Chief now remembers auctions. When you start Auction Chief it displays auctions from your last eBay update. The bid price and the number of bids are only accurate to the time of your last update from eBay. The auction end time is accurate if you're connected to the Internet. The time of the last update from eBay is printed at the bottom of the screen. Auction Chief now correctly displays auction searches from eBay Canada, eBay United Kingdom, eBay Australia, and eBay New Zealand. If your computers date is different from eBay's date by more than one day, Auction Chief will now display a warning. eBay category auctions that have less than 1 hour remaining now display correctly. A Pal Pay short cut button was added to the browse screen. The time and data system has been completely rewritten. This should improve Auction Chief's reliability. As a consequence of this, when you run Auction Chief 2.16 it converts your auction data to a new format. What this means is that older versions of Auction Chief won't be able to read your watched and ignored auction data from version 2.16. |
| 6/17/2002 |
Version 2.15 is released. A bug that made Auction Chief unable to read some eBay searches was fixed. |
| 6/15/2002 |
Version 2.14 is released. The algorithm that reads eBay search pages was re-written. Starting with this version, Auction Chief now supports Buy It Now searches, Seller searches, Buyer Searches, eBay Motors and eBay stores. Auction Chief still supports regular eBay searches and eBay categories. Auction Chief doesn't display Buy It Now information or number of bidders information for eBay Buyer searches because eBay Buyer search pages don't contain it. In the next version or two, Auction Chief will support most international versions of eBay. Please email the author if you notice Auction Chief incorrectly displaying data for one of your searches. A problem with multiple snipes that ended at the same time was fixed. This should also fix the problem with negative pending numbers when updating. | 1/28/2002 |
Version 2.11 is released. A problem with eBay searches that used Newly Listed Items First has been fixed. Auction Chief now checks that your snipe bid exceeds the current bid plus the bid increment whenever you update snipe auctions. If a snipe doesn't exceed the current bid plus the bid increment a message is displayed and the bid price is displayed in red. There's a new miscellaneous option called Automatic Update. If you enable it, Auction Chief will automatically update your auctions from eBay at a regular interval. You can update as frequently as every 10 minutes. The option Scheduled Update, which updates your auctions once a day, has been renamed Daily Update. Auction Chief now tries to keep the auction that you have selected on the Main Screen in view whenever you perform a command that causes the Main Screen to display different auctions.
